EMS Consulting Group, Inc. was founded in 2003 by Darren Dolcemascolo and David McBride. At that time, EMS Consulting Group, Inc. served clients on-site with Lean Training and Advisory services. Later in 2003, drawing on their vast experience with lean transformation prior to co-founding the firm, the co-founders developed a Lean Certification program. While David left the company to work on Lean Transformation as a senior manager at a manufacturing firm in 2004, the firm has continued serving its clients. Additional lean experts have come on board since that time, providing clients with top-notch lean expertise including Sr. Partner Ken Flaherty, former COO at St. Joseph Health System. In 2009, EMS Consulting Group, Inc. expanded its training offerings to include online versions of its already popular off-site programs.
