EMS Consulting Group Inc.
Operational Assessment • Executive Advisory • Capability Development
Improve execution reliability and operational performance.
For leaders who want clearer priorities, better follow-through, less firefighting, and results that sustain.
When an important operating problem may involve process, capacity, management systems, accountability, organization, people, or some combination, EMS helps leaders determine what is actually happening, identify the few issues that matter most, and establish a practical path forward. Lean and Six Sigma methods are used where they fit; they are not the starting assumption. Delivered on-site or virtually.
When to Call EMS
Executives usually do not need another methodology. They need clarity about what is actually constraining performance and what to do next.
Performance is deteriorating, but the explanation is not clear.
Backlog, WIP, lead time, productivity, quality, margin, or delivery performance is moving in the wrong direction and leadership is hearing competing explanations.
You are considering a major operating decision.
You may be considering more people, equipment, space, automation, ERP investment, or restructuring, but want independent evidence before making a permanent commitment.
Growth or complexity has exposed operating-system weaknesses.
Responsibilities, escalation, leadership cadence, flow, or cross-functional coordination are no longer keeping pace with the business.
A short message from our founder
Most organizations don’t struggle because people aren’t working hard. They struggle because decisions don’t always stick, priorities drift, and execution becomes reactive.
Why Leaders Choose EMS
Most consulting and training firms sell activity: days, workshops, headcount, and predefined programs. EMS is different.
We focus on the few changes that will create the greatest operational and financial impact. Our engagements are structured around clarity, execution, and measurable results—not billable hours.
If the right answer is less work, fewer initiatives, or no further engagement, we will say so.
How we work
We help leaders improve performance by aligning operational flow, leadership routines, and problem-solving capability. Our work is practical, tailored, and built around real business outcomes—not generic programs or consultant dependency. The goal is for your organization to operate more effectively with us, and especially after we are gone.
1) Align on outcomes and success criteria
We clarify what must change (execution reliability, lead time, quality, margin, capacity, delivery performance) and define how success will be measured—so the work stays decision-focused and relevant to leadership.
2) Diagnose the system, not just symptoms
We identify constraints and root causes across processes, management routines, and data/metrics—then prioritize the few actions that create meaningful improvement. When useful, we may use methods such as value stream mapping, Kaizen, or targeted Lean coaching—but only in service of the business outcome.
3) Execute improvements and build capability that stays
Capability is built while real work is being done, not through disconnected training or handoffs. We coach leaders and teams as they improve flow, solve problems, and strengthen execution routines— so improvements endure long after our engagement ends.
Ways to Engage
Understand a Consequential Operating Problem
The Operational Assessment & 90-Day Roadmap is the primary consulting entry point when leadership knows an operating condition must improve but the underlying causes are uncertain.
Make Better Decisions and Sustain Execution
Operational Advisory & Decision Support helps senior leaders pressure-test decisions, sequence priorities, strengthen follow-through, and execute the right changes without adding permanent outside management.
Build Internal Problem-Solving Capability
Applied Lean and Lean Six Sigma training, certification, guided learning, and CI Navigator help organizations build capability around real operating needs. Capability development can support consulting work or stand alone.
For leadership teams whose primary concern is priority alignment, ownership, operating cadence, and follow-through rather than a deeper operational diagnostic, the Execution Reliability Review remains a focused alternative starting point.
Contact us to discuss fit and next steps. If we believe a smaller scope, a different sequence, or no engagement is the right answer, we will tell you.
