Lean Certification (Instructor Led): Certified Lean Practitioner


The Lean Enterprise Certificate program is designed for Lean Leaders and Change Agents in both product and service based organizations. Designed to meet the most current challenges facing organizations today, this program will provide participants with people and technical skills needed to facilitate lean problem solving and improvement efforts. The program is intended for Lean Leaders from Manufacturing, Service, and Healthcare fields.

Over an 6-day period, our lean experts will guide you through a series of course work, hands-on projects and simulations. You will learn how to apply major methodologies of lean including Strategy Deployment, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Events, and Daily Kaizen utilizing the Improvement Kata and the Coaching Kata. Within the context of continuous improvement, you will learn how and when to apply the tools of lean including 5S, Continuous Flow Cells, Standard Work, Kanban and Pull Systems, Total Productive Maintenance, Quick Changeover, Visual Management and Controls, and Mistake Proofing. Certification requires the completion of a lean project in your own company – to reinforce the learning and achieve real results in your specific environment. This program results in a Lean Certificate (Certified Lean Practitioner).

Day 1 Value Stream Mapping (including hands-on team mapping activity).
Day 2 Continuous Flow and Pull Systems (including simulation)
Day 3 Kaizen Events / Team Facilitation and A3 Problem Solving (including team exercises)
Between Sessions 4 Week Break for Students to Work on Projects and interact with instructor as needed
Day 4 Lean and Value Stream Mapping for Administrative / 5S
Day 5 5S Continued, Visual Controls, Mistake Proofing, Total Productive Maintenance, SMED (Quick Changeover)
Day 6 Lean Leadership: Strategy, Metrics, and Daily Management; Student Presentations of Project Progress/Coaching from Instructor
